Vine Work Te Puke Mubwons

From October to Christmas, the vines of the orchards are maintained and pruned in order to ensure both the health of the orchard and a fruitful harvest season. Vine work is absolutely vital to a productive harvest as if one job is not completed adequately then it can detrimentally affect the yield. For example, bud thinning (though seemingly a small job) allows for the strongest bud and, therefore, the strongest fruit to grow. If we did not remove the weaker buds then the canopy would not be able to cope under the weight of all the fruit once they are fully grow. The same concept applies for shoot-thinning! Jobs such as these show how a little work can make a massive difference. Interested? Apply today!
